Covenant Membership

Covenant Membership is about more than attending church meetings. Covenant Members enter into a covenant with us and are called to a higher degree of responsibility, service and sacrifice. By becoming a Covenant Member you are committing to be part of a spiritual family that will provide support and encouragement in your walk with Christ. Our elders and leadership pledge to assist our Covenant Members first and foremost, by providing care and counsel as well as to pray, teach and guide as necessary.

As the Lord leads, we hope that you will take the following steps by covenanting with us to be part of The Crossroad family.

1. Attend A Membership Class

We want each person, whether a visitor or regular attender, to make an informed decision about becoming a Covenant Member of The Crossroad.  In this class we will discuss the essentials of what it means to be a Covenant Member, our basic beliefs, what you can expect from your elders and leadership, and what the elders and leadership can expect from you.  You will meet our staff and elders and learn how to get connected into the life of the church.  We also want to help each person identify his/her spiritual gift and will have a questionnaire available to assist you in determining it.  This will allow you to learn how you can best serve the church.

Before coming to the class, we invite you to learn more by examining our Pre-Class materials (Doctrinal Statement and Member Covenant) on The Crossroad website at www.crossroaddfw.org.  Of course, we will also answer any questions you may have during the class time. 

2. Fulfill The Essentials of Member Covenant

We ask that you begin to fulfill some of the responsibilities laid out in the member covenant, namely:

• Seek to join a Missional Community (aka Home Group)
• Seek to find an area of service
